The Eagle (Khabib) was born on the 20th of September 1988 in Sildi village, in Tsumadinsky District of the Dagestan ASSR before moving to Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan. Khabib MMA career

Combining some wrestling and Judo techniques, he pushes his competitors against the cage and ties them in a way they can’t escape and attacks them with strikes they are mostly unable to block. He mostly wins through either technical knockouts. He also does very well in ground-and-pound fighting, thus making many fighters refer him as an all-round fighter. Quoting Joe Rogan, he said that Khabib is the most feared competitor in the world, and he’s just on another level in a way where the chances of defeating him are minimal after the first minute-and-a-half.

Incident at UFC 229

On Oct 6, 2018, after winning over McGregor at UFC 229, Khabib jumped over the cage and charged McGregor’s cornerman Dillon Danis, who had provoked him with trash talk. Afterward, McGregor and Abubakar (Khabib’s cousin) attempted to exit the cage, but a fight broke out after McGregor punched Abubakar, who then returned the punch. McGregor was then attacked by two of Khabib’s men. Nurmagomedov’s winning payment was withheld pending an investigation. On 24th October, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) approved a motion to release half of Nurmagomedov’s $2 million fight payout. The hearing was done, and he was suspended for nine months and a fine of $500,000. He was free to compete again on July 6, 2019.
